ABOUT ME
Being both a designer and an artist, I work on developing architectural concepts and engage in interior design projects. In my artistic pursuits (which involve drawing, painting and other media), I collaborate with cultural institutions and art galleries to offer exhibitions (including a multisensory exhibition entitled Architecture of Desire, which includes VR video and projections).
As an architectural designer I cooperate with a family company specialising in interior design JOL-wnętrza (Jolanta Pachowska-Kurzewska), and with entities operating in other sectors, for instance with a construction design office KiP. Working on major projects I invite specialists to work in larger teams.

BIOGRAPHY
Filip Kurzewski graduated from the Department of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology and from the University of Detroit Mercy in the USA. At the former university he acquired an Engineer’s degree in 2008 and Master’s degree in 2011 with the respective diploma works completed under the supervision of Dr. Radosław Achramowicz and Prof. Ewa Kuryłowicz. He completed a one-year long individual training programme in sculpting with Prof. Adam Myjak. Following internships (e.g. in the Pro-idea Agency and the architectural firm JEMS-architekci ) and working for a number of design agencies (e.g. Kuryłowicz & Associates), he acquired a second Master’s degree in 2017 at the Department of Industrial Design of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (based on a design project supervised by Prof. Jerzy Porębski and a theoretical dissertation supervised by Dr. Magdalena Kochanowska).
From the time he started his university course in architecture he worked for the JOL-Wnętrza firm specialising in interior and architectural design, and today he co-owns the agency with Jolanta Pachowska. Filip Kurzewski is an architect producing architectural designs, an interior designer, and an artist producing drawings and paintings. His works were recognised during competitions (e.g. the Third prize awarded to a group of architects for the project Nebula in the international visionary- architectural competition entitled Interconnection and Communication with the Islands of Today and Tomorrow, organised under the auspices of the International Union of Architects and the Foundation for Peace and Unification).
He has taught architectural drawing for many years. He has presented his artistic works in a number of solo and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad (for instance during events such as the Art Basel Week in Miami, Miami Yacht Show, Rotterdam International Art Fair, Tokyo International Art Fair, and San Gemini Festival Dei Colli). His drawings and paintings are held in many private collections.
